Isabel's Cheesebread Mix is made using cassava flour, giving the breads an innovative and delicious chewy texture, almost gluten-like. They have a delicate cheese flavour, with a light crispy outer shell and a ciabatta-like soft airy centre. It also means that our mix is gluten-free - naturally! We suggest here rolling the mix into small balls and baking to make the classic Brazilian 'Pao de Queijo' cheesebreads, but you can shape the dough anyway you like. It is possible for example to shape them like bread rolls before baking to be able to substitute this gluten and wheat free cheesebread for normal bread.
